great pasta war of 2012

Some of you have already heard about this via Facebook, but here’s the photographic evidence. For those of you not familiar with the details, it involved a container of cooked pasta pieces being dumped on the floor, smushed and crumbed. And then the ONE HOUR of full-on hysterics that followed as I made him pick up the entire mess, piece by microscopic piece.

Instead of getting changed for his swimming lesson, Emmett was more interested in practicing his Little Gym skills inside the locker. After we got home, he sprawled out on the kitchen floor to have a little chat with Jasmine.

He’s never eaten PBJ for me. But last week, at Nana’s house, she set a PBJ in front of him and he inhaled it. So we gave it another try at home, and he ate it! I think Emmett needs to spend more time at NanaPoppy camp.

Also on Sunday: we were on our way back from running some errands when a sudden flurry took up and gently coated the ground. Emmett – of course – insisted on tromping around in it for a while before going inside. He was finally coaxed in with the promise of a fire in the fireplace.

The whole box of play food got dumped in the upturned barn house and Emmett dove in after it to play.

Emmett and Pappy had fun racing cars in the playroom.  Then, we went out to the mall and Emmett tried on this fabulous coat & hat.  We ended up coming home with the coat, but, as much as I loved it, couldn’t justify the hat!

stealing, sweeping and socializing

Nana sat down next to Emmett and he immediately reached over and stole raspberries off her plate. After Nana & Poppy both left for work, I turned the corner into the kitchen and found he’d gotten the broom out of the cabinet and was trying to sweep the floor. Before we hit the road back toward home, Emmett & I had a delightful lunch with Beanie & Gram Gram.
